Our enrollment policy requires an interview and academic assessment for each student prior to acceptance for admission. We will accept students on the basis of their successful assessment which may include a day in school. We accept applications from students aged from 2 to 18 years (Nursery to Year 13).
Fee Structure 2013-2014
Application FeeOnce you have decided on St. Andrews International School Bangkok for your children and wish to make an application, you will be required to pay an application fee per child, which is payable on application and is non-refundable. This is a once only payment. On entry to the school, there is a payment made towards the school’s capital fund which continues to pay for the development of the school’s facility. This can be paid either as an enrollment fee or as a capital levy.Non-refundable Enrollment FeeUpon completion of the assessment, you will be asked to pay either the enrolment fee of 120,000 Thb per child in Primary, and 60,000 per child in High school, which is payable on successful application and completion of the assessment and is non-refundable. Sibling discounts are offered where families register more than one child at the school. This is a once only payment.Capital LevyThis is an alternative method of paying the enrolment fee. It consists of an additional payment of 25,000 Baht per term on top of the tuition fees for each child joining the school. This allows parents who are in Bangkok for only a short period of time to have a reduced enrollment fee. Parents pay the capital levy for 5 consecutive terms.Tuition Fees – Nursery to Year 9There are three terms in our school year and tuition fees are paid for each of our terms. Tuition fees are paid to cover the cost of running the school. This includes all the exercise books, teaching materials and textbooks your child will require when they study in our school. Normally they are paid one term in advance to ensure the school has the necessary cash flow to cover its expenditure for the coming term. Tuition fees invoices for the next term are sent to parents four weeks from the end of the current term with a deadline for payment before the start of the next term. Methods of Payment Payment is accepted by: Cash Personal or cashier’s cheque made out to “Saint Andrews International School Sukhumvit Campus Co., Ltd.” Bank Transfer to: Account No: 077-0-18502-9 Account Name: Saint Andrews International School Sukhumvit Campus Co., Ltd. Traditionally there should be six tuition fee payments to cover the six terms of this course. Since Year 11 students tend to be in school for the first three weeks of their third term and then on study leave coming to school only for their examinations there is not a sixth tuition fee payment but instead and administration and examination fee charge. This is related to the cost of IGCSE fees from the examination bodies – Edexcel, Cambridge and ASDAN. It includes pupil registration, syllabus provision, marking and handling of the exam for each subject. These fees are shown on the our annual fee structure.Tuition Fees - Senior Studies Programme – Years 12 and 13Our senior studies students follow two year courses which are examined in term 3 of their Year 13. Since Year 13 students tend to be in school for the first three weeks of their third term and then on study leave coming to school only for their examinations there is not a sixth tuition fee payment but instead and administration and examination fee charge. This is related to the cost of external examination fees from the examination bodies – Edexcel, Cambridge, ASDAN and International Baccalaureate Organisation. It includes pupil registration, syllabus provision, marking and handling of the exam for each subject. These fees are shown on our annual fee structure.School Bus ServiceThe school has a small group of minibuses that are available to pick children up from their home and take them back in the evening. They have many routes that operate around Bangkok. If you are interested in using this service please bring this up with the Head of Admissions who can check to see if minibuses could be available to your home residence.School LunchesThe school produces freshly made food for our children at lunch times. The menus are published weekly on the school website. The weekly menu shows what western and Thai food will be available each day. The school lunches are charged per term and itemized on your tuition fee invoice. For children requiring special diets or who wish to bring their own food for lunch will not be charged for the school lunches.Residential Visits and Day TripsEach year group will go on several day visits to different sites in and around Bangkok. These visit extent the learning opportunities of many topics and subjects studied in school. There I no additional charge for these day trips. Different year groups go on residential experiences from 3 days away from home to a full week. These residential visits offer some wonderful opportunities for your children to experience. The costs for these visits are passed on to parents who are invoiced and pay for a particular visit prior to the children going there. Normally for five day residential experience in Thailand with specialist facilities is between 10,000 and 15,000 Baht per trip. Each year group has one visit per year held at a time that fits in with the teaching schemes and plans for that year group.Fee RefundsSince all fees are paid one term in advance, when a child leaves the school the parents will be refunded a full term, if the child has not started the next term. If a child starts a new term provided the child leaves before the half term the parents will be refunded for the last half terms fees. If the child attends second half of the term but leaves before its end there is no refund based on weeks or days attended.
