Dear ParentsThis afternoon I spoke to the ISAT emergency committee who have been in regular contact with government officials throughout the week. Due to the planned protests on Monday 13th January we have decided to close the school on this day. At this time we plan to open again on Tuesday 14th January, however I will confirm this via email on Monday.Although it is not thought that the blockades and protests will pose a direct safety risk to our school, due to our location, the concerns surrounding traffic congestion and road closures throughout the city, and the potential threat to water and electricity supplies, we have been advised to close our school on this day.Teachers will send work home via email for children to complete at home on Monday. I apologise for any inconvenience this might cause you, however the safety of the children who attend our school has to be the number one priority. If you have any questions please contact me directly at
DUSIT CAMPUS IS EXPANDING!
St. Andrews International School, Dusit Campus offers a fantastic start to young learners. From birth, children are rapidly developing all their sensory communication and social skills. The development of these key areas lead to strong emotional intelligence which is the foundation for life.
The first steps in education are the most profound and a strong stimulating environment will ensure that your child has the best opportunity to succeed. St. Andrew's International School, Bangkok on Sukhumvit 71 is a well known centre of excellence for early childhood education. Building on our experience and success our school has opened the Dusit campus which will provide our early years ethos to a wider group of families in Bangkok.
The Dusit Campus is designed with facilities that are dedicated to the individual development of young children. The ground floor has our Early Years Centre. Here there are large classroom spaces linked to shared areas with good access to computers which have specialist large coloured keyboards. Each classroom has a smartboard set at the appropriate low height for our smallest children to take an active part in their learning.
At the Dusit Campus, there are some great outdoor areas and one beautiful covered area for Nursery and Kindergarten. There are climbing frames, toys, a sand pit and pool, where our smaller children will be able to play and explore with their friends and teachers in a safe beautiful environment. In the centre of our quadrangle we have a small football pitch and sports area, which will be a great place for all the physical activities. Our Reception, Year 1 and 2 children really enjoy this space and develop those key physical skills as they play football, basketball or just run around playing together.
