The school's main goals and objectives.
We are a small high quality international school where the individual comes first. Our style of education is based on the English National Curriculum and the best international education practice including IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme. We use this curriculum as our guide taking what we consider to be best practices and then supplementing this with our own international curriculum that particularly focuses on our children learning in Thailand.
We believe that children learn best from first hand experience and are committed to a child-centred education. Our definition of Child-Centred Education is based on the four following principles:
- It is based on an understanding of the children's strengths, needs, stages of development and interests
- The curriculum provides first-hand experience of activities that are meaningful to the child and enable them to develop as confident independent learners
- The learning environment is safe and secure and the child's self-esteem is promoted through relationships that are respectful and supportive
- Teachers recognize and accept the child's individual differences and provide an educational programme that enables them to realize their full academic potential.
Our school is committed to being creative in how we provide opportunities for children of all ages to learn in an exciting, meaningful, beautiful environment. It is important children learn about themselves, their strengths and weaknesses and how they can use their talents to solve the problems and challenges they face. Children need to realize their strengths and develop high self-esteem and confidence to be able to reach their full potential. Once a child is empowered so that they want to learn they can go beyond parents', teachers' and their own expectations.
